More Pictures of the Coffee Table Aquarium Model #233

The coffee table aquarium shown below is our model number 233 with different shaped glass tops.

The standard 36-inch "Rhomboid" glass top has large rounded corners but still retains the square shape. These corners greatly reduce the chance of the top being bumped by a child or adult's leg.	The optional round glass top gives this coffee table aquarium a different look than the square or rhomboid glass table tops. The one shown above is a 39" diameter glass top.
The above image shows both the standard 36-inch "Rhomboid" and the 39" diameter glass tops.	Above is a 36-inch square glass top that is available special order. We have found that the corners are easy to catch with your leg. Certainly not recommended in areas where small children can come in contact.

When small children are in the area we have found that wrapping the edges of the glass top with "pipe insulating foam" makes the tops much safer. This foam has a slit along the length that slips over the edge of the glass top. A few pieces of tape retain it. The only problem we found is when kids grab the foam to pull themselves up; the foam may come free of the top.

Speaking of kids, here is another helpful tidbit. The feeding and air holes at the top of the tank will allow small hands to fit partially into the tank. Sometimes a child will get his or her fingers into the water. More common is the appearance in the water of small toys given to the fish to play with.
