Dive Clean Filter

Some of our aquariums use a "Dive Clean" filter made by "Oscar Enterprises". This filter is used in several of our Aquarium Coffee Tables and Tower Aquariums.

The filter locates inside the tank and mounts to the inside wall of the tank. It is located under the glass and has a suction cup mount. It is a two stage filter that moves water through both charcoal and filter foam or floss.

This filter unit must have the majority of the unit placed underwater. There is a line marked near the top showing the required water level.

This unit comes from the factory with a tube that when attached to the filter makes air bubbles in the water. These bubbles will cause the bottom of the coffee table glass top to get wet very quickly. This can fog the glass and will leave water spots, which requires cleaning to be removed. We recommend that this tube not be used with the Coffee Table Aquariums. The fish do not need the air bubbles and get plenty of air in the water with the coffee table design. This tube can be used (if you desire bubbles) on the Tower Aquariums, or any other aquarium except for the coffee tables.

Many of the Dive Clean units we ship out have two foam cartridges and one charcoal cartridge. On most of the Coffee Table Aquariums you only have enough room for one foam and one charcoal cartridge. Instead of us taking the second foam cartridge out of the box we leave it in as a spare for you to use.

When the filter foam gets dirty you can rinse and squeeze it out under running water. This works for a few times until the filter gets too dirty. You can usually find replacement filter foam (and charcoal) at many pet shops, from the person or company you bought our tank from, or from us.
